The Bridge Day High Line gives the general public the opportunity to be a Bridge Day participant. This will be the 19th Bridge Day High Line with over 2,200 riders. The high line rider glides from the New River Gorge Bridge’s catwalk to State Route 82. Your speed is controlled by a belayer. You drop 300 vertical feet while sliding 600-700’.

The Bridge Day 250’ Rappel gives the general public the opportunity to be a Bridge Day participant. The first 250’ rappel off the New River Gorge Bridge was done in October 1993 when a participant from the Oprah Show did the rappel as part of the Show’s Week of Fears. Through the years, this rappel has been done for training, demonstrations, scouts, and part of Bridge Day.
250′ Rappel Registration
The 2018 Bridge Day 250’ Rappeller will rappel from the New River Gorge Bridge’s catwalk on the north end of the Bridge to State Route 82. You will be belayed with additional safety measures as needed. Your rappel will be 250 vertical feet.
